ABC Fitness and EGYM Announce Global Partnership to Integrate Smart Equipment and Member Management Platforms

ABC Fitness and EGYM have entered a strategic global partnership that aims to deliver a fully integrated fitness technology ecosystem for operators and members worldwide. Announced ahead of the FIBO Annual Conference, the collaboration will combine ABC’s leading member management and engagement platforms with EGYM’s smart equipment and workout analytics tools.

As part of the agreement, EGYM’s tracking and analysis features will become the exclusive solution integrated across ABC Fitness’ Trainerize, Ignite, and Glofox platforms. In turn, ABC Fitness will become EGYM’s sole preferred member management system provider across the global fitness market.

The partnership is expected to streamline the user experience by connecting app-based training programs with smart equipment and enhanced data capabilities. Key features slated for integration include EGYM’s BioAge metric—which assesses fitness across strength, flexibility, metabolism, and endurance—and equipment mapping functionality for personalized workout plans based on available machines.

A proof-of-concept was presented at FIBO 2025, with a broader rollout expected later this year.

“This collaboration is intended to redefine the entire landscape of fitness tech by connecting training, tracking, and management tools into one ecosystem,” said Mohammed Iqbal, Chief Strategy Officer at ABC Fitness. “By combining our strengths, we are not only broadening our global opportunities but also creating a holistic, integrated member experience.”

John Ford, Chief Product Officer at EGYM, said, “This collaboration supports our vision to bridge the gap between expert exercise products and everyday fitness enthusiasts.”

According to ABC Fitness’ Q1 2025 Wellness Watch Report, 31% of consumers have used virtual fitness trainers or workout generators. Both companies say the new integration will help gyms and studios improve mobile engagement, enhance member retention, and deliver more personalized health experiences through expanded data insights.

Peloton Appoints Charles Kirol as Chief Operating Officer, Announces Leadership Restructuring

Peloton has named Charles Kirol as its new Chief Operating Officer, a newly created position that reflects the company’s focus on operational efficiency and member-driven growth. Kirol will report directly to President and CEO Peter Stern and officially step into the role on April 14.

With more than 20 years of experience leading global operations and supply chains, Kirol most recently served as Executive Vice President and Chief Global Operations and Technology Officer at iRobot Corporation. His previous roles include leadership positions at Sensata Technologies, Stanley Black & Decker, and GE Capital. He also serves as a Rear Admiral in the U.S. Navy Reserves, currently overseeing a team of 3,600 logistics professionals.

At Peloton, Kirol will lead operational areas including supply chain, information technology, and cost management. The company says his expertise will be critical in improving product and service delivery, enhancing unit economics, and advancing execution across core functions.

“With his extensive manufacturing and operational experience across both the private and public sectors, Charles has a proven track record of leadership that will be invaluable to Peloton as we continue to transform our business and work to empower millions of Peloton Members to live fit, strong, long, and happy,” said Stern.

In conjunction with Kirol’s appointment, current Chief Supply Chain Officer Andy Rendich will step down from his position and serve as an advisor through the end of Peloton’s fiscal year. “He and the team he built for Peloton have been instrumental in guiding our supply chain through unprecedented challenges,” Stern noted.

Peloton also announced a search for a Chief Information Officer, who will report to Kirol and be responsible for IT strategy and infrastructure.

In a separate leadership update, Dion Camp Sanders, currently serving as Chief Emerging Business Officer, has been appointed Chief Commercial Officer. The expanded role will cover first-party retail, inside and third-party sales, bike rentals, international operations, refurbished equipment, the Precor B2B division, M&A strategy, and broader business development initiatives.

These changes are part of Peloton’s continued restructuring under Stern’s leadership, with a focus on accelerating innovation, strengthening service delivery, expanding market presence, and reinforcing financial discipline while improving member outcomes.
